The Pokémon Go phenomenon slowed down a bit but there are still plenty of hunters out there picking up Pokémon in backyards, parks and in the city. And now a wearable companion is being released called the Pokémon Go Plus.
This device eliminates the need for the AR or augmented reality feature in Pokémon Go. Normally, to play the game, you need to have your phone out to find Pokémon. But the Pokémon Go Plus alerts you with light or vibration and you can collect the items with just a click of a button.
The device will also track your footsteps even if the app is off, eliminating some problems other users have come across. It's compact and weighs only 13 grams. You can pre-order the Pokémon Go Plus on Nintendo's official site right now. Shipping will start on September 16 but this varies by region.
